About the client

Centar Tehnike is one of the leading retail traders in the field of electronics and household appliances in Croatia and the market leader in the Slavonia region. Their specialty lies in a wide assortment of products that includes everything from the latest consumer electronics and IT equipment to various household devices.

The company has been operating for over 20 years with several stores in eastern Croatia, and since 2010 also through an online webshop. The Centar Tehnike webshop has won multiple awards, including the Web Retail Award for the best Croatian webshop in the Consumer Tech category in 2023.

what problem did the client face?

Centar Tehnike faced the problem of relatively poor positioning on generic keywords, which prevented the website from reaching its full potential in terms of traffic and sales. The lack of search engine optimization on the website and products, as well as strong competition, were the main causes of this issue. Therefore, Centar Tehnike, aiming to improve rankings for many keywords, contacted Arbona.

what did we do to solve the problem?

To improve the current situation, we proposed the following steps to the client:
  • Keyword analysis
  • Technical SEO audit
  • On-site SEO optimization
  • Creating new content

Collaboration details

The client entrusted Arbona with the implementation of the proposed steps, and during the project we carried out the following:

  1. Conducted keyword analysis (brand and non-brand keywords) based on user search trends and search volume. Through this analysis, we identified the terms users most frequently search for on Google.
  2. Along with the keyword analysis, the initial step included a technical SEO audit where all technical issues were thoroughly examined to improve the website. We started with on-site SEO optimization focusing on ranking factors that will gradually improve positions.
  3. Alongside technical aspects, continuous work was done on creating new content for product and category pages. We agreed with the client to focus on categories where content is updated with new, user-relevant information, and this process continues ongoing.
  4. Through SEO optimization, various tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and others were regularly monitored to gain detailed insights into technical issues and user behavior on the site. This enabled timely reactions to any drops in keyword rankings during the agreed period.

Growth in keyword positions

Before the collaboration started, Centar Tehnike was not well ranked for relevant keywords, and for many of them, it wasn’t even in the top 100 search results. After SEO optimization, a large number of these keywords appeared within the TOP 10 results on Google search.

Before the collaboration, Centar Tehnike was ranked outside the top 100 positions for this keyword, where a significant improvement was quickly noticed, resulting in increased visits and ultimately conversions.

Movement of average keyword positions

The average positions of the client's keywords experienced significant growth during the project, indicating the success of the implemented SEO strategies. This substantial growth is not only a statistical indicator of success but also concrete proof that well-planned and executed tactics can improve a website’s visibility in the online space. With a particular focus on content optimization and technical SEO improvements, the project resulted in better rankings for the client’s keywords on Google search. Additionally, efforts to enhance user experience and mobile compatibility further contributed to this success. These results not only increased organic traffic to the site but also contributed to higher visitor-to-customer conversion rates, which is the ultimate goal of every SEO campaign.

Results

In the period from 01.03.2023 to 31.03.2023, compared to the same period in the previous year, there were over 50,000 monthly visits from the organic channel:
  • clicks increased by 37.88%
  • impressions grew by 30.83%
In the period from 01.01.2023 to 31.03.2023 (Q1 2023) compared to the period from 01.01.2022 to 31.03.2022 (Q1 2022), the following results were achieved:
  • clicks increased by 29.41%
  • impressions grew by 23.40%
